Me - operating various routes across the UK

So, for those of you who haven’t spoken to or seen much in the past 12 months, the way my life is ‘organised’ at the moment means that I spend a lot of my time driving these days - in fact, I feel a bit like a National Express coach sometimes, driving set routes across the country on a regular basis : )

Cos, y’see, when you live in Colchester, but you work in Norwich, and your boyfriend lives in North Wales, and the only way you get to see him is by meeting him halfway at your father’s house in Staffordshire, and your ‘in-laws’ live in Lancashire…ya get my point. Check out the map below:

So, to explain:

1) My dad’s house - Burntwood, Staffordshire
2) Where I live - Colchester, Essex
3) Where I work - Salhouse, near Norwich
4) Where my boyfriend’s parents live - Burnley, Lancashire
5) Where my boyfriend lives - Bangor, North Wales

The plus points: after 2 years of intense long-distance driving, any fear of driving I ever did have is gone - forever. And boy oh boy, am I racking up the points on my Tescos Clubcard and Morrisons Miles card.
The minus points: My life is quite literally, all over the place. Not healthy, I know. Something for me to sort out in 2007.

And, I am sick of the sight of the following roads: the A14, the M6, the A11, the A140, the A47, and the A12. I don’t hate the route to Wales anymore simply because I don’t drive it at the moment : ) I don’t know about you, but on a Friday night, I just don’t fancy a 6-hour drive from Norfolk to North Wales to see my fella - hence the halfway house of my father.

So, if any of you ever need a lift on the following routes:

Staffordshire - Colchester
Norwich - Staffordshire
Colchester - Norwich
Norwich - Colchester
Staffordshire - Burnley
Burnley - Staffordshire

Then give me a shout…I’ll probably have room in my car for ya ; )
