Woo-hoo! The Sultans of Ping have reformed (as I had heard they had) and are playing Birmingham Barfly on Saturday 8 December. I am booking tickets RIGHT NOW, and thanks for regular blog reader (hehe) Lloyd Clarke for furnishing me with this beautiful nugget of news.

If you don’t know who the Sultans of Ping are, then you probably do actually. You may remember a daft 90s indie song called ‘Where’s Me Jumper?’. Yep, they did that.

Listen to their music on their MySpace site - the only song I know that they have listed on their MySpace is ‘Stupid Kid’, which is great energy-filled-indie-stupidness with fantastic lyrics

Only other UK date is 2nd November supporting Carter USM @ Brixton Academy - reforming is all the rage it seems.

If any close friends of mine who are reading this would like to come along but don’t have a bed to kip in in the Midlands area, then email me because I may be able to put 1 or 2 people up if you are very desperate to attend the show - dependent on how nice my father is feeling about having people in the spare rooms : )
