Desigual - la vida es chula!

After recovering from the joy that Howies have opened a store on London’s Carnaby Street, I stumbled across another store I love while walking on Regent Street on the weekend - Spanish clothing label Desigual.

I went to Barcelona on a week’s holiday in October 2004, and discovered this store dotted about all over the city. Having glimpsed the quirky clothes through the doors, I scuttled in and instantly fell in love with the bold, Continental designs. All I could afford at the time was a green satchel bag, which some of you may have seen dangling from my shoulder from time to time.

So I was literally jumping up and down with happiness when I ran into the Regent Street store. I wanted to buy lots of things, but didn’t have the money - it’s not Prada prices, but it’s not Primark prices either. But the clothes are quirky and different looking, so I invested in a red off the shoulder jumper, a black cowlneck, and a black skirt besplattered with graffiti and lovehearts.

So if you fancy a different look, I would highly recommend Desigual. May they open stores across the land! : )
