Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I *did* put a link to raw milk - which most people do not know about - at the top of the post, before posting the report from this doctor. But thanks for the extra info.

As a vegan, I STILL find the idea of drinking breast milk from another mammal a bit peculiar, so I'll pass on this for now. But it's possible in the future that my views on this might change, and if they do, I may well try raw milk, and I'll tell you how it goes if I do it : )

This Doctor did not fully check records .... Raw Milk vs Cooked/Pasturized Milk

Raw Milk is health giving ... read "We Want to Live" and "The Recipe Book for Living without Disease" written by a man, Aajonus who has for 41-years been pro-Raw Milk www.wewant2live.com

Before reading his books and having a private consultation with Dr. Aajonus Vonderplanitz I was advised by a friend to drink Raw Milk, Raw Cream and eat Raw Butter... for two weeks straight I took her advise and my life and health has improved exponentially (the first day since August 26, 2007) I am over 50 years old and due to a diet of processed foods heavy in sugar and carbs, I had very low energy, could not even exercise much for over 14 months... Since being on the Raw Food Primal Diet for over 90-days, and still not much exercise, I have become a bionic strong woman. I can out walk friends and family up mountainous coastal terrain and I am not winded, with no huffing and puffing, yet my walking partners are out of breath.. I totally recommend anyone and or I challenge you to change your diet even if you just include Raw Milk and do your own due diligence for the TRUE FACTS on the health-giving food that the "MD's" who have little to no nutritional education tell you not to eat! GET AND READ Aajonus' books which have documented scientific facts ... so don't believe him read the facts (and read links below) ...

The following are a couple of Excerpts from a report I strongly dispute with the exception of any negative comments about Pasturized-homogenize-Cooked Milk. I base my rejection of the following "MD's Comments" on personal daily consumption of 1/2 gallon RAW MILK for over 90-days for the benefits I receive, such that Raw Whole Milk is now my daily diet staple:

"OTHER PROBLEMS"

"Let’s just mention the problems of bacterial contamination. Salmonella, E. coli, and staphylococcal infections can be traced to milk. In the old days tuberculosis was a major problem and some folks want to go back to those times by insisting on raw milk on the basis that it’s “natural.” This is insanity! A study from UCLA showed that over a third of all cases of salmonella infection in California, 1980-1983 were traced to raw milk. That’ll be a way to revive good old brucellosis again and I would fear leukemia, too. (More about that later). In England, and Wales where raw milk is still consumed there have been outbreaks of milk-borne diseases. The Journal of the American Medical Association (251: 483, 1984) reported a multi-state series of infections caused by Yersinia enterocolitica in pasteurised whole milk. This is despite safety precautions." - by: Robert M. Kradjian, MD

Summary Excerpt:
"So don’t drink milk for health. I am convinced on the weight of the scientific evidence that it does not “do a body good.” Inclusion of milk will only reduce your diet’s nutritional value and safety.

Most of the people on this planet live very healthfully without cows’ milk. You can too.

It will be difficult to change; we’ve been conditioned since childhood to think of milk as “nature’s most perfect food.” I’ll guarantee you that it will be safe, improve your health and it won’t cost anything. What can you lose?" - by: Robert M. Kradjian, MD
