Overheard in A&E this week…
My brother was in A&E earlier this week - it’s alright, he’s out now, he’s okay.
While he was on a bed waiting to be seen by a doctor, he overheard the following conversation take place on the bed next to him, where a nurse was trying to take details from an old, possibly slightly deaf woman (she shouted when she talked), who was in pain:
Nurse: “Are you allergic to anything?”
Old woman: “……..MORPHINE………and PASTA.”
As would most people, my brother nearly fell off his bed because he was laughing so much.
