Yeah, I don’t know what to make of it either:

For you TKD laymen, North Korea practices ITF-style TKD (the style I do) and South Korea practices WTF-style TKD (style in the Olympics) which was allegedly developed after South Korea took a dislike to General Choi, the founder of TKD and a South Korean military general, visiting his birthland of North Korea. He eventually went into exile in Canada.

Hmmmmm. While I always maintain a slightly agnostic approach on a lot of things in life…and with that being the case, am never quite sure whether to believe the ITF or WTF history of events when it comes to the formation and evolution of TKD, I do wonder if this is some South Korea propaganda…I can’t really see Choi’s son returning to the country he has supposedly wronged and saying he should pay for what he’s done.
