So I have been rubbish and not updated my blog, so here’s an update in pictures of what I’ve been up to the past few months:

First of all, in January, I went to see a musical double whammy at The Scala in London - two of my favourite bands - Imperial Leisure, and Ugly Duckling - played a show, with UD headlining, and it was great. I went on my own and that was sad because i wanted to share the bouncing and skanking and hollering and grinning with someone else, but everyone else was busy/too jessy to come along (delete as appropriate):

Then, in February, I went to watch the latest intra-league bout of the London Rollergirls. It was ‘Clockwork Carnage’ and saw neon-dressing droogettes Ultraviolent Femmes take on the steampunking, sassy britching, Steam Rollers. The ‘Rollers emerged victorious and take on undefeated league champions so far, the Suffra Jets, at the intra-league final on 25 April 2009. If you’re interested in coming to watch, then come join me and my gaggle of derby loving friends and we can go watch together.

And in the month of March - which is still young, I know - I have been to see one of my favourite bands for the fifth time - the always hilarious, ever cultish, Half Man Half Biscuit. The lyrics are still on top form - smattered with observations about British life - and the music is still shambolic post-punk-folk-rock sounding, and I love them to bits. Craig & I went to see them play last night and we spent most of the gig crying with laughter.
