I conducted research at UK universities which was used in The Push Guide To Which University 2007-8, published in association with The Independent.

I was commissioned by Laura Rupp of the university’s Faculty of Arts to collect spoken data from a cross-section of speakers from my hometown of Burntwood, south Staffordshire.

Laura used the data for her linguistics paper, Constraints on non-standard -s in expletive there sentences: a generative-variationist perspective, which was published in English Language and Linguistics (a linguistics journal) in 2005.

Researcher - University of Essex, Colchester
April 2002

I was comissioned by the Department of Language and Linguistics at the University of Essex to collect spoken data from a cross-section of speakers from my hometown of Burntwood, south Staffordshire.

The data is now kept as part of a linguistics corpora in the Department, and is used for the undergraduate course, Language Variation and English Phonology.
